We set out to assemble a team of operators and partners capable of transforming Marina PARC into a world-class facility, and we managed to find them right here in South Florida.
Rickenbacker Marina
One of Miami’s most popular marinas, thanks to its unmatched location on Virginia Key – opposite downtown Miami and just east of Key Biscayne. The Marina is owned by the City of Miami and has been operated by the Melwani family since 1983. The Melwanis have voluntarily invested millions over the years with the goal of adding new amenities and facilities for boaters.
Key International
Key International is a Miami real estate investment and development company focused on commercial and residential properties including condominiums, hotels, market-rate rentals, office, and retail. The firm is led by the Ardid family, which has been active in real estate since the 1970s. Current and past projects include the Eden Roc Miami Beach, 1010 Brickell, The Marriott Stanton South Beach, The Ivy, and Mint.
Stantec
An international architecture and engineering firm with deep roots in Miami, Stantec’s local team has designed a number of landmark projects in South Florida. These include Jade Signature and the historic preservation and renovation of the Gale Hotel in Miami Beach.
Jungles
Landscape architect Raymond Jungles and his team are experts in creating transformative public spaces and elevating existing ones. Past projects ranging from 1111 Lincoln Road and SoHo Beach House, to the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and New World Symphony Garden have brought communities together across South Florida.

Miami-based engineering firm overseeing all aspects of coastal permitting, water quality monitoring and environmental mitigation. The company’s long list of past projects includes the Eden Roc Resort Beachwalk, dune restoration at Disney’s Vero Beach resort, and the Redlands wetland mitigation project.
HistoryMiami
An affiliate of the Smithsonian, HistoryMiami is the premier cultural organization committed to collecting, preserving and celebrating Miami’s rich history. HistoryMiami plans to provide content in common areas at Marina PARC, including exhibits showcasing Miami’s maritime history.
TKS
With waterfront concessions across Miami and Miami Beach and beloved retail stores in Miami Beach and Coconut Grove, TKS has become a local favorite for watersports enthusiasts. Their Marina PARC location will offer stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and more.
Alex Yanes
Since he decided to pursue art full-time in 2006, Alex’s work has become his autobiography, speaking volumes about who he is and what he has seen. A son of Miami, his story is influenced by his Cuban roots and an ever-growing curiosity about all the things Miami had to offer him during the 80’s and 90’s. His artwork will be featured throughout Marina PARC, on-view for the public to enjoy.
Mangrove.org
Mangrove.org is a nonprofit committed to restoring natural mangrove shorelines using the Riley Encased Methodology (REM), which allows mangroves to grow in high-energy areas where they typically cannot develop. This technique is currently being utilized at Rickenbacker Marina, where mangrove seedlings are now growing alongside the Virginia Key Basin.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center
Located in Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center is a not-for-profit dedicated to environmental education and the conservation of our local irreplaceable natural resources. The Center plans to lead eco tours from Marina PARC and will provide educational content about the Virginia Key ecosystem.
